With Special Guests Rhett Tyler & Early Warning
BB King is the definition of the blues. With over 50 albums, an astonishing 18 Grammy Awards and an induction into The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, B.B. KING is clearly one of the greatest performers of our time.
His reign as King of the Blues has been as long as that of any monarch on earth, yet B.B. continues to wear the crown well. At the young age of 88 he is still singing and playing with the same relentless passion that made him famous as he continues to thrill audiences worldwide.
The Thrill is Back in Albany as B.B. KING returns to the Palace Theater on April 17th for what promises to be a night to remember!
Opening for BB King is local favorite and Blues Hall of Fame inductee Rhett Tyler & Early Warning.
Best known for his explosive style of scorching modern blues guitar and high-octane, house-rocking live performances, Rhett Tyler grew up listening and learning about music and the blues from his father, an Air Force officer and talented classical, boogie, and blues pianist, and about writing from his mother, a published poet. He discovered his own God-given musical talent at the age of 15 when his parents gave him his first electric guitar.
Critically acclaimed by John Swenson of Rolling Stone as "a powerful front man, in the tradition of Johnny Winter [and] Jimi Hendrix. Rhett Tyler is the certain face of future blues."
